Please note: This post is directed at people who are beginner or wannabe affiliate marketers who have recently started out, but have not put in massive efforts yet. They have watched some videos and are confused. They may have several ideas but don’t have any specific plan or well defined path to follow.
Thus they end up watching some more videos, trying to learn more tactics and getting up even more confused than before. These people have seen others make huge affiliate commissions and think they can make it big as well. But they need to start implementing and taking action. They cannot let days and weeks pass by without doing any substantial work.

Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to make money online from your home, but you need to take serious action. If you are not succeeding due to lack of action, what would be different in 2023? How will 2023 be any different? To make money with affiliate marketing in 2023 you need to start taking more action.
By action I mean planned action, not just random action. Today you may watch a video or read a blog post and get excited. You may want to try out the strategy or tactic you learned. But unless you craft a well-developed plan of action on how you are going to implement what you learned and for how long will you stick to using that strategy, your one-time action of implementing that technique may not do you much good.
Suppose you learned a cool technique on getting qualified traffic from Instagram for promoting your affiliate products or programs. List out all the things that you need to do in order to implement that strategy. Think of all the obstacles you may encounter and try to find ways you can overcome those difficulties. Once you have a proper plan of action ready, note down when you will start implementing that plan.
Note down the date you want to start. It could be tomorrow or today’s date, or next week or whatever you feel comfortable with. Also determine for how long you will continue implementing that plan before you discard it if you are not getting the desired results in terms of getting lot of targeted traffic or making tons of affiliate income.
You may decide to stick with a plan for 3 months even if you don’t initially see good results. You should have that clarity in mind and also make that commitment to yourself. Successful affiliate marketers or any online marketer has this habit of being committed. You cannot expect to make lot of money with affiliate marketing if you are unable to stick to something for a prolonged period of time.

I had started a new affiliate blog and wanted to drive free traffic to it. I chose Quora as one of my free traffic sources. I paid a worker to answer a couple of questions everyday and link to my blog within the answers. I asked the worker to provide detailed, valuable and informative answers and link to relevant posts on my blog which were related to the question being answered.
This worker kept doing that work for almost 6 whole months. During that period, the answers got thousands of views. I stopped the Quora postings for a while as I got busy with other projects. However the answers that were posted earlier kept generating views many months after the work had stopped. This is the essence of passive traffic and passive income – you put in some efforts for a certain amount of time and continue reaping the benefits and earning money for a long time!
This is the beauty of consistent work and sticking to your plan. I had a simple plan and gave simple instructions to the worker. Just answer 2-3 questions daily and make detailed, informative answers without being promotional in any way. Then provide a link to my blog towards the end of the article. So the plan that you come up with to make money with affiliate marketing should be simple and easily doable. Then you need to stick to it and be consistent!

You can make 2023 your best year ever and start making huge amounts of money through online affiiate marketing by becoming a little more serious, organized and also by taking planned action.
