Rankings Still Stuck:
Optimize your content by implementing semantic SEO techniques learned from the above videos on Google’s semantic NLP tool. If your article or blog post is still stuck in Google rankings, implement the advice of this video:
- Check if UX design of the page is good and page loading is not slow
- Run an internal crawl of your website to see if the particular page can be easily found by crawlers and is reachable within 2-3 steps from homepage. Build some internal links from important and trafficked pages of your website to this page
- If possible, access log files to see how often Google is crawling this page
- Check to see if further semantic onpage optimization is needed for the article
- Do a competitor check for the keyword and topic of this article to see if you missed some important concept, entity or attribute
- Check to see if you need to update the content and add something new and fresh
- Run some ads to drive traffic and activity to the article page
- Build some whitehat backlinks through guest post outreach, etc
- Check to see if the article is relevant to the website’s main focus topics. If your website is about digital marketing and the article is about productivity tips, maybe Google doesn’t consider you an authority to rank for productivity related topic. You can move the article to another authority site like Medium to see if it ranks, or if the problem is with the content itself
